Vice President Kamala Harris (Democrat) was found to be slightly ahead of former President Donald Trump (Republican) in voter favorability as captured in exit polls from the US presidential election.
According to the provisional results of the exit poll released by Edison Research, an American public opinion polling agency, on the 5th (local time), the day of the presidential election, 48% of respondents nationwide answered that they had a favorable view of Vice President Harris.
In contrast, 44% of those who responded that they had a favorable view of former President Trump were counted.
Voters’ favorability toward Democratic and Republican presidential candidates has decreased compared to the 2020 presidential election, and their unfavorability has increased.
Vice President Harris’s favorable rating of 48% is lower than the 52% that President Joe Biden, the Democratic candidate for the 2020 presidential election, received in exit polls at the time.
