The candidate of the Democratic Party for the President of the United States, Kamala Harris, challenged her Republican opponent, Donald Trump, to the next debate, which should be held on October 23 on the CNN television station. According to the AFP news agency, her electoral team informed about it today.
“Vice President Harris is ready to take on Donald Trump on stage again,” AFP quoted the campaign team as saying. “Donald Trump should have no problem agreeing to this debate. It is the same format and arrangement as the June debate on CNN, which he participated in and in which he said he won,” Harris campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon said, according to Reuters.
Trump faced off against outgoing President Joe Biden in a June debate on CNN. The 81-year-old head of state had trouble expressing herself clearly in the broadcast, and less than a month later, under pressure from fellow party members and donors to the Democratic Party, she withdrew from the campaign.
Harris subsequently became the new candidate of the Democrats. Trump faced her in a debate this month. According to a number of media outlets, Harris celebrated success in this debate with her strategy to provoke angry reactions from Trump.
