Harry e Meghan they attended via video yesterday, November 7, at the first Global Ministerial Conference on Violence against Children held in Colombia. This appearance comes almost three months after their visit to Colombia in August, at the invitation of Vice President Francia Márquez.

The Dukes of Sussex have expressed concern about the child safety in the digital world, underlining that the conference represents a critical moment to move from simple awareness to concrete action. Harry described this period as “a crossroads” and highlighted the urgency of rethinking how we protect the little ones.

Meghan added that, in an increasingly connected age, there is a need to fully understand how digital violence impacts children. She explained that, with their Archewell Foundation, she and Harry work with young people, families and experts to address these issues and protect the welfare of children.

The foundation launched The Parents Network this year, a support network dedicated to parents facing harm from Internet use. According to Harry, supporting parents is crucial to reducing the digital violence against children and to help families navigate an increasingly interconnected world.

This participation reinforces the image of the couple as committed to highly topical social issues. Some, however, also see this activism as a strategy to consolidate their public position and build a positive image, especially in light of tensions with the royal family and controversies with the British press.
