John and Josephine are married but currently living separately, and have a child together. About a year ago, the couple separated, as John felt he needed space.
John in Eskilstuna receives help from Lyxfällan
The starting shot turned into a fight when Josephine started digging into John’s finances. John had incurred large debts behind Josephine’s back, and had lived far beyond his means. For the past two years, John has been paying his bills with loans, then living on credit. In the end, John moved to another apartment as he could not handle the financial situation.
Magdalena Kowalczyk and Lyxfällan go to Eskilstuna to help John and Josephine, and now the situation is urgent.

John in Lyxfällan withdraws SEK 48,600 every month
John receives SEK 22,000 to move around with every month, but at the same time has a whole bunch of unpaid bills, unsecured loans and nine creditors. The loan category costs him a whopping SEK 46,000 every month. This means that John goes back with SEK 48,600 every month, which causes Josephine to break down.
– Do you think it was cool to move and leave her with a rent that is half her disposable income because you thought it was hard to be around? You got married and had a child. Your way of sticking your head in the sand and ducking the problem is not okay, says Magdalena Kowalczyk.

Have to cancel Spotify – have a tantrum
According to Magdalena Kowalzcyk’s calculation, John’s total debt is a staggering SEK 695,000. In addition to some shopping and expensive loans, John also spends a lot of money on 14 different entertainment subscriptions.
John says that he has managed to cancel all subscriptions except Spotify, something that Magdalena Kowalzcyk describes as incomprehensible. John, on the other hand, believes that music benefits him psychologically.
– The music remains. You must realize that there are commercial breaks. You don’t die from it, says Magdalena Kowalczyk.
The discussion does not sit well with John, who has a fit of rage and storms off.
– Take the glass before I throw it!, he says and hands over his drinking glass to the presenter.
Josephine describes how music has meant a lot to John and acts as a refuge, while Magdalena doesn’t buy his behavior at all.
– You feel so terribly bad. And then it won’t be any easier for you to come and poke me. I know I need it, but I’m like a cornered animal, John says when he’s calmed down.
