The Civil Guard has arrested a woman in Collado Villaba who was tricking coupon sellers to distract them and steal dozens of coupons, according to sources from the Armed Institute. This thief got more than 11,000 euros in ticket prizes which was carried out in different points in the northwest area of ​​the Community of Madrid.

The investigation of this Rascas thief has been developed by the agents of the Civil Guard of Collado Villalba. The investigation began when one of the ONCE sellers reported the theft of part of their tickets.

The victim provided information that allowed the alleged perpetrator to be identified. The 40-year-old woman was generating a relationship of trust with employees until he managed to distract them and thus steal the coupons.

The stolen Scratches

The victims had to face the losses generated by the collection of the tickets that they had lost, causing them heavy losses. The woman is accused of a continued crime of theft. The investigation has managed to clarify three criminal acts committed in Torrelodones, Las Matas and Las Rozas.

The Once Scratch Cards are tickets that can be purchased from 0.25 euros up to 10 euros. These tickets have instant prizes from 150 euros to 1,000,000 euros. The woman who was arrested by the Civil Guard managed to get her hands on dozens of tickets and thus obtained a substantial amount of money.

This is not the first time that criminals have focused on the Rascas. In April of this year in Galicia, the Civil Guard located more than a hundred scratched tickets and without prizes that had previously been stolen from a gas station.
