Speeding with serious consequences for a garage employee
This impressive speeding incident took place on Friday November 8 according to The Lorraine Republican. On the D652, between Vitry and Fameck, a 19-year-old driver was flashed 166 km/h on a portion limited to 80 km/h. This road is mainly known for enticing motorists to step on the accelerator with its long straight. However, the police are well aware of it and are often present to monitor it.
That day, the Fameck municipal police carried out speed controls with the help of the Hayange motorized brigade. The young man controlled was also in mission for his employer. He had to deliver a car to a customer, but he did not escape punishment. In the end, his driving license was revoked on the spot and the vehicle was immobilized. This probably sparked a strong reaction from his employer.
