Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Nikola Camaj congratulated the President of Albania Bajram Begaj, Prime Minister Edi Rama, President of the Parliament Eliza Spiropala, citizens of Albania and Albanians around the world November 28 – Independence Day of the Republic of Albania and Day of the Albanian Flag.
“Since Valona in 1912, when the Albanians declaratively joined the family of free nations of Eastern Europe where they belong, the representatives of that nation have been advocating for the same goal to this day – living in peace with all their citizens and neighbors. I believe that even though we are members of a minority in Montenegro, we continuously give our full contribution to its being, not forgetting our roots and equally respecting the country we live in,” Camaja wrote in the congratulatory message.
He added that as an Albanian, he is pleased with the accelerated progress of Albania and its democratic steps towards Europe and the world.
“Having become a full member of NATO in 2009 and with the status of a candidate country for EU membership, the Republic of Albania is a respectable partner and neighbor of Montenegro. The Republic of Albania recognized its opportunity in the natural beauty it possesses, so it emphasized tourism, which is why today it is high on the list of offers for the development of infrastructure projects on its coast, which contributes to the overall development of the country. I am sure that with appropriate policies, they will continue on the path of progress towards a modern and prosperous country that is getting closer to the EU family every day.”
