The Italian biathlete Dorothea Wiererová changed her mind again at the end of her career and will compete until the 2026 Olympics. She set herself the goal of succeeding at the “home” Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo (February 6-22, 2026).
However, the thirty-four-year-old experienced biathlete with the face of a model is already preparing for a career after the end of her sports career. Maybe she will become a sports presenter.
The four-time world champion and three-time Olympic bronze medalist will be a television expert for the Italian team at the upcoming Summer Olympics in Paris.
He will have his own show on the Discovery+ channel called “Parigi Doro” (Gold from Paris). The format will be an Olympic diary, in which Wiererová will examine individual Olympic disciplines, capture the voices of athletes and compose them with her own expertise from professional sports.
“For me, it’s an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and have a new experience,” Wiererová told the Italian internet portal Neveitalia.
At the same time, Wiererová confirmed that she has already started preparing for the new season. The first race of the 2024/2025 World Cup will be at the end of November in Kontiolahti, Finland, and the great Italian, who has two big and four small globes in her collection for the overall triumph in the World Cup, would not want to miss it.
