Brazilian football legend Zico became a victim of robbers on the street. As reported by The Sun, thieves stole a briefcase with valuables worth half a million euros.
Biely Pelé, as the three-time World Cup participant was nicknamed, was the victim of a robbery after leaving the hotel. Zico got into the taxi with a briefcase in which he was supposed to have a Rolex watch, a diamond necklace and an unspecified larger amount of money.
According to initial information, one person should have approached the taxi driver to distract him, while the other retrieved a briefcase from the back of the vehicle.
French police have launched an investigation to find the criminals from Thursday night, writes Le Parisien. Theft Suppression Unit is conducting the investigation. Zico is currently in Paris as a member of the Brazilian Olympic team.
Zico, full name Arthur Antunes Coimbra, was born on March 3, 1953 in Rio de Janeiro and is widely regarded as one of the best footballers of all time.
The football strengths of his career, which spanned from the early 1970s to the early 1990s, were exceptional technique, insight and goal-scoring ability.
