In order to prevent food fraud in Turkey, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues laboratory tests of samples uninterruptedly. The Ministry continues to publish a list of imitation-adulterated foods that may endanger health.
In the latest tests, it was revealed that seed oil was added instead of olive oil, and vegetable oil and medicine were added instead of tulum cheese.
WHAT IS NATAMYCIN?
Natamycin, also known as pimaricin, is an antifungal medication used to treat fungal infections around the eyes. This includes infections of the eyelids, conjunctiva, and cornea. It is used as eye drops. Natamycin is also used as a preservative in the food industry.
