The leader of AUR and candidate for the presidential elections, George Simion, claims that the moment when he entered the set over Mihai Gâdea was staged.

Simion says he went to the Antena 3 debate as a spectator and was invited to appear on stage, alongside Mihai Gâdea.

“He didn’t invite me to come to any show, I sat in the back. I am a parliamentarian, I was in Vaslui, I got on the plane and, seeing that it was time to get to the show, I went and said to those who support me: you see that I was not invited and then Mr. Gâdea saw me. I’ve never seen a show like this, to have 400 supporters against you. (…) I don’t think that Mr. Gâdea could imitate the shaking like a candle, for three months they have been telling lies about us. Who can imagine being subjected to a tirade of lies and no AUR representative being invited? I didn’t impose myself, but I wanted to show them that I was here. The night before he lied, he said he invited me and he didn’t. Gadea, understanding that the lie was unmasked and that he could not treat one of the guests, that’s what he called me”, said Simion on Sunday evening, November 17, for Prima News, writes stiripesurse.ro.

It seems that the moment Simion entered the show led to an exchange of lines full of tension with Mihai Gâdea, the moderator of the show.

“Mr. Simion came here, over us. Good evening, Mr. Simion,” Gâdea said apparently surprised. So that the AUR leader would later answer: “I didn’t come over you, you invited me.”

Even though Simion insisted that he was invited, the moderator continued to ask: “How come you didn’t come over us?”.

The AUR leader saw that moment as an attempt to damage the public image, but then explained the reasons why he appeared at the debate, and he also accused the organizers of a lack of transparency and attempts to smear.

George Simion also spoke on Saturday evening, November 16, on Romania TV, about his entrance to the Antena 3 show, believing that it was a direct attack on him.

“They thought that if they organize themselves in the Parliament and have SPP at the entrance, they won’t have problems. If they shamelessly lie and say they didn’t invite me, I came to hold them accountable,” said the AUR president.
