An argument broke out between two brothers named Hakan S. (49) and Erkan S. (47), who run a market on Cumhuriyet Street in Çarşı District, for an unknown reason.
After the discussion turned into a fight, Erkan S. allegedly set fire to the room used as an office and home in the market with the gas can he brought with him.
In the fire that broke out, Hakan S, his sons YHS (15), YES (23), and his divorced wife Ö.Ş. (44), market employee SU (24) and Erkan S. were injured.
Upon the notice made to the 112 Emergency Call Center, the medical teams came to the region and the injured were given first aid at the scene and taken to the surrounding hospitals. The fire in the business was extinguished by firefighters who came to the area.
Hakan S., one of the injured who was taken to Bodrum State Hospital, was in serious condition and could not be saved despite the intervention.
It was learned that the treatment of the other injured people continues and Erkan S.’s condition is serious.
On the other hand, many teams affiliated with the Bodrum District Police Department also investigated the crime scene and its surroundings.
