(Health Korea News / Lee Chang-yong) The National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) announced on the 13th that it will conduct periodic evaluations for the lowest (E) grade institutions and institutions that have not conducted (or are not eligible for) evaluations in the ‘2023 Regular Evaluation of Home Care Benefits’ for systematic service quality management. There are 712 institutions with the lowest (E) grade in the regular evaluations and 84 institutions that have not conducted (or are not eligible for) evaluations.
The evaluation will be conducted from the 1st of next month to January 31, 2025. The results of the evaluation will be released in April next year.
The NHIS explains that the random evaluation will be conducted using the same indicators and evaluation methods as the regular evaluation in 2023. For institutions with the lowest (E) grade in the regular evaluation in 2023, a plan for writing a plan for improving benefits based on insufficient evaluation indicators and customized consultation for improving service quality will be provided before conducting the random evaluation.
Park Yoo-sang, director of the long-term care assessment division of the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service, said, “We ask for active cooperation from the institutions subject to evaluation so that the periodic evaluation of long-term care institutions (home care benefits) can be successfully completed,” and “We will continue to make efforts so that the periodic evaluation of long-term care institutions can serve as an opportunity to provide quality services suited to the various conditions of long-term care institutions.”
Specific evaluation plans, including evaluation target organizations and evaluation methods, are available in the data room of the Elderly Long-Term Care Insurance website.(click) You can check it in the ‘2024 Home Care Benefits Continuous Evaluation Implementation Guide’.
