Healthy and low-calorie, and easy to prepare

Tabbouleh salad is very popular in Lebanon, as it is one of their national dishes. People all over the world love it because it is a healthy meal that can be prepared quickly.

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams of bulgur (but it can also be sprouted wheat or well-cooked wheat, oats – what do you prefer)
  • 150 grams of pitted green olives
  • 60 ml of olive oil
  • 2 large bunches of fresh parsley
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • a pinch of chopped fresh mint
  • so i biber
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 head of finely chopped onion

Preparation:

Cook the bulgur (if you use sprouted wheat, just wash it and strain it). Chop the parsley as finely as you can. Chop the tomatoes, onions, olives and mint. Mix everything, add lemon juice, olive oil and spices. You can eat this salad with cheese, as an independent dish. Although in Lebanon it is mostly used as a side dish for meat or fish. It is served in small lettuce leaves and placed directly on the plate next to a piece of meat. It is up to you to choose the way of consumption.
