The Slovak super match brought an even match, where VAR also played a big role. DAC took the lead, but the players from Bratislava were able to quickly equalize, and even only because of the intervention of the video referee, they did not reverse the game. In the first half, the VAR already ruled in Slovan’s favor, and the visitors were awarded a penalty due to Csinger’s handling, which they scored. The drama wasn’t over yet, in the 10th minute of extra time, the Dunaszerda locals could have scored a penalty, but Trusa hit the penalty kick over the goal, thus the visitors’ success remained.
“Even before the match, we were aware that these are the type of matches where small details only decide the fate of the points, and it was confirmed” – Xisco Munoz said after the whistle. “I am proud of the team’s performance, I am satisfied with my players, who fought to the maximum until the last moment.”As I mentioned, in the end it was the details that mattered. All that remains is to continue working hard to improve.
