Seoul City closed the Jamsu Bridge to pedestrians on the morning of the 18th and then completely controlled traffic in the afternoon. This was due to the discharge volume from Paldang Dam exceeding 8,500 tons per second.

The Korea Meteorological Administration predicts that up to 150 mm of additional rain will fall in the central region until the 19th.

The expected rainfall by region until the 19th is ▲30-100mm in the metropolitan area, Gangwon inland, Gangwon mountainous region, Chungcheong, and Honam (up to 150mm or more in the metropolitan area and Jeollabuk-do, up to 120mm or more in Gangwon inland, Gangwon mountainous region, Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, northern Chungbuk, Gwangju, and Jeollanam-do) ▲30-80mm in northern Gyeongbuk, Daegu, southern Gyeongbuk, Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (up to 120mm or more in northern Gyeongbuk) ▲20-60mm in the five West Sea islands, Gangwon east coast, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo ▲5-40mm in Jeju.
