A dance teacher who became known as a judge of the Tanssii Tähtien Kanssa competition Helena Ahti-Hallberg and his spouse Eric Hallberg are renovating their home bought in Spain at a good pace. In the fall, they went to clean and renovate the house they bought, but several problems have already surfaced.
Lack of electricity was one of them. We were prepared to wait for it for months.
New problems have appeared during the renovation. Eric the man stayed to work in Spain, while Helena returned to work in Finland.
– Our Spanish miracles continue. Fortunately, phone connections work most of the time, so I can hear all the twists and turns of the adventure.
The electricity contract is the latest headache, says Helena on social media.
– You cannot create an electricity contract in the old system, this is how we were informed. And it’s a good thing, because electricity came with 15A tapeworm wires. That is, while waiting for something new.
– Now it has become a problem that the electricity company makes the new electricity contracts so that the electrical cabinets are on the outside walls of the houses so that they can be read.
Culturally valuable
The reason for this is that the house is historic and its renovation requires a permit.
– The city, on the other hand, does not give permission to destroy the exterior wall of a culturally historically valuable house with an electrical cabinet! That’s where the city and the electricity company are arguing with each other.
– There are no remote reading devices, the outer wall must not be drilled…
– It’s interesting what solution they find, because electricity has to be obtained. And our house is not the only renovation site on our street.
It’s amazing how difficult it is!
