28-year-old Maria Psyllaki passed away, after almost five years of fighting and the serious problems she faced after a traffic accident in which she was seriously injured.
It was March 11, 2019, when the car driven by the then 22-year-old girl, under unclear circumstances, deviated from its course and hit an olive tree, on the Kastelli – Arkalochori road.

The young lady was seriously injured in the head. He was initially transferred to a hospital in Heraklion and then to a rehabilitation center in Thessaloniki. In fact, money had been collected for this purpose, with Crete being embraced at the time so that Maria could fight for her rehabilitation.
Unfortunately, the great fighter who for years struggled with serious problems, with her family by her side, could not stand it and breathed her last.
Tragic irony, the brother of the deceased Maria had also been killed in a car accident, about 10 years ago, at the age of 25 and in fact close to the place where the 28-year-old had the car accident.

The news of Maria’s death plunged her place of origin, Armaha, into mourning.
The funeral service was held on Saturday, September 14 from the Holy Church of St. Charalambos in Armaha, Heraklion.
