Large dimensions, intervention by the Ministry of Tourism and many discussions have been caused by the brutal attack received early on Tuesday in a bar in Heraklion by a family of tourists who were on vacation in Crete.
As the victims said, the perpetrators were all Cretans, they allegedly beat not only the 49-year-old father and his son but also his 41-year-old wife and their 14-year-old daughter. This seems to have been the “spark” that caused the wrath of the Cretans, who began to furiously beat not only the father and son, but also the 41-year-old woman and the 14-year-old girl, who tried to stop them. The 49-year-old Greek-Canadian, who is originally from the Anogeia region, was more seriously injured. According to information from the hospital, the damage the man has suffered from the beating is great and will be needed probably another operation and several days of hospitalization.

Two of the four men were identified who brutally beat the tourist family.
