In recent tests, health-threatening and adulterated substances were found in products such as minced meat and sausage. Poultry meat was detected instead of minced beef and lamb, and mechanically separated poultry meat was detected in sausage.
WHAT IS MECHANICALLY SEPARATED POULTRY MEAT?
It refers to the product obtained by removing the meat from the carcasses of poultry using mechanical methods that cause the structure of the muscle fibers that make up this meat to be lost or changed.
Mechanically separated red meat and mechanically separated poultry meat cannot be sold to businesses that provide food services to the end consumer, such as restaurants, hotels and businesses that produce ready-made meals, or directly to the end consumer, and mechanically separated red meat and mechanically separated poultry meat cannot be used in these businesses.
