Here is the new luxury skyscraper in Dubai, just one apartment wide

The 73-story tower will have 131 apartments, each with two and five bedrooms. The high-tech building will have several leisure services, including a spa, restaurant, gallery, padel court, and a private cinema – writes a CNN.

The extravagant tower will be built next to a canal on Dubai’s main transport hub, Sheikh Zayed Road. It was designed by the Spanish architecture firm RCR Arquitectes, which won the prestigious Pritzker Prize in 2017, the an award often called the “Nobel Prize of architecture”.

The fifth joint collaboration between Muraba and RCR Arquitectes is expected to be completed by December 2028, and its prices start at 18 million dirhams, or HUF 1.8 billion.

Each apartment will occupy the entire width of the building and will be built on the model of traditional Arab houses, with an inner courtyard, in which shadows and green colors dominate, the developer said.

We passionately strive to ensure that our buildings respond and are connected to the location, just like the native landscape. The building must communicate with nature and imbue the atmosphere of the local culture

said Rafael Aranda, founder of RCR Arquitectec.

Dubai’s super-sized skyline is already home to the world’s tallest skyscraper, the Burj Khalifa (828 meters), and the second is expected soon. Last month, the real estate developer behind the Burj Azizi, which will also be completed in 2028, announced that the skyscraper will reach a height of 725 meters.

Dubai currently has more towers over 300 meters than any other city in the world, according to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.
