Here’s How to Set the Beep Tone on the Honda Vario 160 Smart Key

DAPURPACUID – The features included in the latest Honda motorbikes are said to be one of the latest innovations developed by Honda engineers.

This is the Honda Smart Key System, a smart feature that is installed to provide easy access for users to operate a motorbike without using a key.

In the domestic market, the first motorbike produced directly by PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) with the Honda Smart Key System is the PCX. Followed by other products, ranging from Regular, Premium, to Bigbike models.

As time goes by, features including the sophistication of motorbikes continue to develop, pampering riders in terms of comfort, security and safety.

Apart from being a replacement for a key, the Honda Smart Key also functions to control the anti-theft alarm system and answer back, making it easier for users to find the motorbike in the parking lot.

When the answer back feature is used, the Honda motorbike’s turn signal flashes accompanied by a buzzer sound. The sound volume can also be adjusted according to the user’s wishes.

Apart from that, the Honda Smart Key System feature allows setting the buzzer sound pattern, even turning off the buzzer sound to silent mode.

Activating the beep sound on the Vario 160 can be done easily using the built-in keyless remote. A beep sound usually appears when the knob is pressed, or when the answer back system feature is activated.

Here are the steps to activate the beep sound on the Honda Vario 160:

1. Make sure Remote Keyless is Active. Press the bottom button on the keyless remote. If the green light is on, it means the remote is in the active position.

2. Press the knob on the motorbike. Press the knob on the motor once.

3. Press and Hold the Knob. Press and hold the knob for 4 seconds until the lock logo on the indicator panel flashes.

4. Set the Beep Volume. Once the lock logo flashes, you can adjust the beep volume as desired. There are three levels of loudness to choose from.

If you have difficulty setting it up, ask an AHASS technician or service advisor for help when servicing your motorbike. (dpid/TH)
