Here’s what Luis Hamilton says about entering MotoGP

Lewis Hamilton commented on media reports that he is interested in buying the Gersini team.

According to available information, Hamilton is already in talks about taking over with the current owner, Nadia Padovani.

Now the F1 star has also spoken out.

“I’ve always loved MotoGP”Hamilton said.

“I am definitely interested in active participation. Owning the Broncos (NFL team) was the first step in that direction. In the next 5 to 10 years, there should be more such moves, and we’ll see where.”

Hamilton joined the ownership structure of the Denver Broncos in 2022.

The Gresini team was founded in 1997 by Fausto Grezini, a two-time champion in the 125cc class. He died in 2021, and the team is now managed by his wife.

After the victories of Bastianini in 2022 and Di Gianantoni in 2023, the signature of Marco Marquez followed. Although the team will be without him next season, they will improve the status they have with Ducati due to the departure of the Pramac team.

Hamilton never hid his passion for two-wheelers. This was shown by the famous day on the track with Valentino Rossi, when the Briton drove a motorcycle and Rossi an F1 car.

“I’ve always loved motorcycles”Hamilton said then. “When I was younger, I wanted to race on them, but my father wouldn’t let me, because he thought they were too dangerous.”

“He decided that the four points were for me, and that was the right choice. Those were Rossi’s best years, I would hardly have been particularly successful.”

“I love when I ride motorcycles on the track, it gives me a completely different perspective on F1.”
