DAPURPACUID – PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI) launched a mining truck, namely the Hino500 Series FM 280 JD Retarder at the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).
Through innovative features, this Medium Duty Truck offers significant improvements in safety and maintenance cost efficiency, the Hino500 Series FM 280 JD R is equipped with the Retarder CFK-360 Series additional braking system, a sophisticated braking aid that uses Electro Magnetic Retarder technology.
This technology works by holding the rotation of the Propeller Shaft through the force of a magnetic field, which allows the vehicle to slow down more effectively and safely, with the use of this retarder, the service life of the brake pads can also be longer, saving long-term maintenance costs for customers.
HMSI Sales Director, Susilo Darmawan revealed that the launch of the FM 280 JD Retarder is Hino’s commitment to continue providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation solutions for the mining industry. “This truck not only promises increased safety through its advanced braking technology, but also various features that increase the comfort and productivity of mining operations,” said Susilo in his statement in Tangerang, Thursday (18/7).
This mining truck is equipped with a Retarder Level control lever in the cabin with 4 braking stages according to operational needs, plus a Digital Hour meter to find out engine usage information for vehicle maintenance to be maintained, there is also an ES Start System to prevent the vehicle from rolling back on an incline and make it easier to climb again so that the clutch lining life is more durable.
This truck is also equipped with durable Block type tires that are suitable for heavy terrain, because it has a GVW of 26 Tons with a Max Power of 280 PS and a Gear Ratio of 6.428 which provides optimal power and maximum carrying capacity, in terms of driver comfort, the Hino500 Series FM 280 JD Retarder, is equipped with air conditioner (AC), power windows and central lock.
