Actor Keanu Reeves made his debut as a professional driver in the final stage of the Toyota GR Cup North America on the legendary Indianapolis circuit: his debut, however, was not as hoped as in his first race he had to deal with an accident.
The list of current ones is growing star in Hollywood who have experimented with the car racingsome for work (like Brad Pitt busy filming the film on Formula 1) and some for passion (like Patrick Dempsey who took part in several races). In fact, even on weekends the famous actor Keanu Reeves made his debut as a professional driver taking part in stage of the Toyota GR Cup North America on the legendary Indianapolis circuit.
The debut of the 60-year-old Canadian though it didn’t have the desired outcome given that in the middle of his first race he had to deal with an accident: the star of the very successful “Matrix” saga he suddenly lost control of his car (probably due to the dirt on the track given that this occurred while he was traveling along a short straight stretch) which then spun, causing it to end up first on the grass and then in the asphalt escape route located at the sides of the track in Curva 9.
Keanu Reeves therefore managed to avoid collisions and violent accidents e, after reporting on the radio that he had not suffered any physical consequences from that accidenta get back on track but, due to that off track, he inevitably saw compromised the final result in what was his first race as a professional driver. The actor actually managed to complete the race bringing his Toyota no. 92 of the BRZRKR team (name chosen in homage to his science fiction novel written together with China Miéville entitled The Book of Elsewhere) until the checkered flag although only in 25th position.

And small accident on the road which, however, does not seem to have in any way influenced Keanu Reeves’ desire to compete in car racing who, before returning to his commitments as an actor in the promotion of his latest films, will return to the track in Indianapolis to take part in Race-2 of the final stage of the Toyota GR Cup North America.
