Hite Jinro (CEO Kim In-gyu) has been carrying out the ‘Mobile Vehicle Support Project’ as part of its support project for the underprivileged for 10 years, marking its 100th anniversary this year.

Hite Jinro announced on the 25th that it held a mobile vehicle delivery ceremony at its Seocho office building, with Hite Jinro CEO Kim In-gyu and representatives and officials from 13 social welfare organizations across the country in attendance for the convenience of transportation for the underprivileged.

After the ’24th Hite Jinro Championship’ competition ended on the 6th, a donation ceremony was held with Hite Jinro CEO Kim In-gyu (left) and Sunrise House CEO Jeong Mi-sook (right) in attendance.

The mobile vehicle, which is used for socially vulnerable groups such as seniors living alone and people with disabilities who have difficulty moving at home, was prepared with a portion of the prize money from players who participated in the Hite Jinro Championship golf tournament held in early October and donations from Hite Jinro.

Previously, Hite Jinro held a contest for support organizations for the ‘2024 Mobile Vehicle Support Project for Vulnerable Classes’ targeting social welfare organizations across the country from last May, and selected the final 14 after screening. This year, in celebration of the 100th anniversary, support has been expanded to include large vans in addition to existing light vehicles. A total of three of them are wheelchair lift modified vehicles that can provide greater mobility convenience for neighbors with limited mobility.

Including the 14 vehicles supported this year, Hite Jinro will provide a total of 80 mobile vehicles to 80 social welfare organizations across the country over the next 10 years from 2015.

Kim In-gyu, CEO of Hite Jinro, said, “In celebration of Hite Jinro’s 100th anniversary, we have expanded support by providing new vans and increasing the number of wheelchair lift-modified vehicles to ensure the convenience of transportation for our neighbors with limited mobility.” He added, “As a company for the next 100 years, we will continue to provide social support.” “With a sense of responsibility, we will continue to provide various sponsorships to spread good influence in our society.”

Meanwhile, Hite Jinro has been carrying out various sharing activities every year, such as sponsoring holiday food for the underprivileged, sponsoring local children’s centers at the end of the year, sponsoring residents of small-scale villages, and supporting ‘Day of the Disabled’.
