The “day-to-day operations” of modern installations should be easy and the necessary products should offer a wide range of options and maximum flexibility in integration. At the same time, they should be safe and durable and deliver perfect sound results. Of course at an attractive price/performance ratio.
Together with experienced installation professionals and taking many customer requests into account, HK Audio has developed the Fineo series based on their specifications such as flexibility in integration and durability, which promises “Made in St. Wendel” for professional installations.
Especially for use in sports facilities and multifunctional halls, all speakers in the Fineo series are certified ball-proof according to DIN 18032-3. Due to their high performance and high-quality sound, the Fineos are also ideal for immersive audio, multi-channel systems and power hi-fi.
A standardized VESA hole pattern is available as standard on the back of all Fineo top parts. Inside the housing, this is cushioned with generous steel reinforcements. In addition to the Fineo accessories, installation material from third-party providers can also be used.
For Fineo, HK Audio supplies DSP presets for amplifiers from Lab.gruppen IPX and LEA Professional as well as filter sheets for many other DSP platforms, which are available directly on the Fineo product page www.hkaudio.com can be downloaded. Simulation data in GLL format for EASE and EASE FOCUS 3 is also available on the product page, as are detailed installation instructions, tender documents and many other details about all products.
In addition to the classic top speakers and subwoofers, the Fineo series offers the FO 5, a cube-shaped, ultra-compact 5″/1″ coaxial speaker as well as flyable subwoofers with matching accessories. For optimal dispersion, every Fineo top (except the FO 5) has a rotatable tweeter horn.
The particularly compact, cube-shaped FO 5 has an innovative, coaxial 5″/1″ transducer with a 110° beam angle, in which the silk tweeter dome uses the membrane shape of the woofer as a sound guide. It is therefore particularly suitable for short listening distances and is ideal for use as a delay loudspeaker in larger rooms for front sound or nearfill at the edge of the stage in permanent installations. In combination with the subwoofer S112 (F), it then becomes a full-range sound solution. In addition to near-field monitoring on lecterns, other areas of application also include high-quality hospitality or background sound as well as inconspicuous placement in exhibitions for complex immersive audio applications with many sources.
The compact Fineo FO 8 is designed as a passive 2-way system and has a particularly slim and space-saving trapezoidal housing. With the 8″ cone speaker, the FO 8 is intended to provide a well-rounded foundation for speech or near-field sound reinforcement as well as balanced midrange in combination with the S112, S118 or S218 subwoofers. The horn radiates 80° x 60° and is intended to serve a large sound area without stimulating walls, ceilings or the floor too much. The horn can be rotated so that the FO 8 can be used upright, horizontally or with different horizontal and vertical radiation.
If compact dimensions and more power in the mid and low frequency range are required, the FO 10 would be a choice. The combination of the 10″ woofer and the rotatable horn with a powerful drive is intended to guarantee a powerful full-range solution for speech and music. The horn with its beam angle of 80° x 60° can be rotated by 90° in order to use the loudspeaker upright, horizontally or horizontally with optimal radiation in every situation. As a powerful system loudspeaker, the FO 10 works well with the S118 or S218 subwoofers.
As a “standard format” with a 12″ bass driver and a fine-resolution 1″ high-frequency driver, the Fineo FO 12 is intended to provide a good combination of sound pressure and low coloration when reproducing any music and voice material. Here too, the horn can be rotated to always provide the optimal radiation characteristics. In combination with subwoofers such as the S118 or S218, the result is a very powerful system that can also be used to reproduce modern music styles at a high level without any restrictions. The FO 12 can also be used for larger locations if more distant areas of the room are refreshed with delay speakers (e.g. with the discreetly installable FO 5).
With its 15″ woofer, the FO 15 offers the most voluminous bass foundation and is the most powerful loudspeaker in the Fineo product family. Especially in larger rooms or in applications with high sound pressure requirements, the FO 15 should optimally show off its strengths and offer crystal-clear and assertive sound with a solid bass foundation in full-range applications for speech and music material. Supplemented with the S118 or S218 subwoofers, systems with a powerful midrange and bass range are created for use as the main sound system for music and karaoke, in clubs or in sports facilities.
The large-format bass reflex channels of the subwoofers are protected against the intrusion of foreign objects. Cutouts for cable routing make installation close to the wall easier. All flyable models can also be mounted at a slight angle downwards so that any foreign objects that may be thrown in can easily fall out.
The very compact subwoofer with 12″ woofer and 50 Hz tuning frequency is the optimal low-end support with powerful bass and high sound pressure as a system subwoofer or surround LFE for installations with compact speakers like the FO 5. Due to the left, Cable entry milled on the right or bottom on the back allows cable routing close to the wall, so that the subwoofer can be placed on the wall without any gaps can. An insert protection made of coated expanded metal protects the bass reflex channel from accidental or intentional insertion of foreign bodies. A ball throw safety certificate is available for installations in sports facilities.
The FO S112 F is the airworthy variant of the FO S112. Installation is easy and safe with the optionally available U-bolt or AP8 anchor points. Four M8 threads on the side and four M8 threads on the top are available for mounting. For optical reasons, the SO S112 F does without the cutouts for cable routing and the rubber feet.
Particularly powerful and high-sound pressure subwoofer with 18″ woofer as a voluminous bass even for larger rooms and when the sound in the lowest frequency ranges requires more noticeable boost. It is the optimal complement to larger systems with FO 10, FO 12 and FO 15. Despite the large membrane area, the FO S118 is compact and easy to integrate into different ambiences.
The FO S118 F is again the flyable version of the FO S118 subwoofer. Installation is also carried out using the optionally available U-bolt or the AP8 anchor points. Four M8 threads on the side and four M8 threads on the top are available for mounting. For visual reasons, it also does without the cutouts for cable routing and the rubber feet.
With its two 18″ woofers, the FO S218 is the most powerful subwoofer in the series and offers the deepest frequency response. The subwoofer can be placed upright or horizontally and also offers a milled cable channel downwards, left and right for cable routing close to the wall. The front is protected by a full-surface grille, which is supported by massive reinforcements on the inside. This means that the FO S218 is not only suitable for use in sports facilities (for which there is a ball throw safety certificate), but also for “wild” club and concert environments.
Accessories – comprehensive, clever, robust and safe
The Fineo series offers the right accessories for a wide variety of, even unusual, application scenarios. From finely adjustable U-brackets to 360° holders, pan and tilt holders to tripod mounts and L-angles – there are hardly any limits to the ideas. And with maximum security, perfectly tailored to the Fineo speakers. Thanks to the VESA hole pattern on each top part, installation material from any third-party manufacturer can also be used.
The Fineo U-bracket is used to attach the Fineo top parts and flyable subwoofers to ceilings. The pan and tilt wall mount S/L (VESA MIS-D/E) helps attach a speaker to a wall. It can be continuously rotated horizontally and tilted vertically in 10° increments from 0° to 30°.
With the 360° holder BM-360, the Fineo FO 5 can be installed on a wall, a ceiling or on a surface. The tilt angle can be continuously adjusted on all axes. The SF-35 is an external 35mm sleeve for use on a standard 35mm speaker stand. With the FO 5 L brackets, a FO 5 loudspeaker can be installed in a wall or in a ceiling. The BWH-1 wall mount offers the option of mounting a loudspeaker with a 35 mm flange on a wall and with the AP-8 attachment point set, the Fineo tops FO 8, FO 10, FO 12 and FO 15 as well as the flight-capable ones Subwoofer FO S112 F and FO S118 F are flown.
