Hockey Slovan is gearing up before the peak of the season. He announces the arrival of one of the most experienced Slovaks – Extraliga – Hockey

The Slovak hockey club HC Slovan Bratislava will be the next place of work for experienced striker Marek Slovák. The thirty-six-year-old native of Nitra has been the captain of another extraleague team from Nové Zámky since the summer of 2024.

In the current season, he completed 38 duels, in which he had a balance of 3 goals and 12 assists. In the past, in addition to his native Nitra and Nové Zámky, he also played in the Slovak extra league for Košice, Zvolen, Banská Bystrica and the under-20 national team. He played a total of 819 games in the extra league and scored 533 points (201+332).

“I played with Marek, even against him, a long time ago in my junior days, and since then I know that it is better to have him on your side than to play against him. He can be productive and hardworking. He has played 172 games in the playoffs and 104 points “Coach Oremus also knows him. So we’re glad we could get him for the playoffs,” said general manager Lukáš Havlíček on the club’s website.

In addition to the Slovak, the Novosibirsk team, who are in the last 12th place in the extra league table, also lost Marek Hudec. The 30-year-old defender was withdrawn from his loan by the tribal club HKM Zvolen.

In addition to the arrival of the Slovak, Bratislava Slovan also announces a two-year contract extension with another Slovak striker, Samuel Takač. The thirty-three-year-old winger started playing hockey in Poprad, and has been playing in “Belas” since summer 2021.

“I am happy that I can continue in Slovan. I believe that we will achieve many sporting successes,” said Takač.
