DOMAĆ Slavski venc filled with hilarity and ham is a delicious pastry sprinkled with coarse salt.

Ingredients:

For the dough:

200 ml of water
30 g of sugar
30 g of molasses
2.5 packages of active dry yeast
1 kg of flour
160 g of olive or other oil
2 eggs
260 ml of milk
4 teaspoons of salt

For the pretzel:

200 ml of water
50 g sode
a little coarse salt

For file:

lettuce leaves
hoopla
ham

Recipe for a festive wreath filled with hilarity and ham:

To make this pastry, in a large bowl, mix 200 ml of water with 30 g of sugar, 30 g of molasses and 2.5 pcs. active dry yeast. Add 1 kg of flour, 160 g of olive oil, 2 eggs and 260 ml of milk. Start kneading the dough and mix 4 teaspoons of salt into it. Mix for 10 minutes, then divide into four equal parts.

Form each section into a long log, then weave the logs together. Prepare a tray with baking paper, then place the braid on it and fold it into a large circle. Place the pan in the middle, so that it maintains the round central shape during rising and baking.

Cover with a towel and leave to rise for one hour. Preheat the oven to 175 °C. Bring 200 ml of water to a gentle boil and slowly add 50 g of soda. Mix well! Then apply the mixture to the braid. Sprinkle some coarse salt. Bake the braid for 30 minutes, but after 20 minutes keep an eye on it, and if it darkens, cover it with aluminum foil.

Let it cool after baking, then cut it in half horizontally and fill it with cheese, ham and lettuce leaves.
