The Honda Jazz is the smallest model available in Romania, but it has the potential to be the most versatile car sold by the Japanese in our country.
The Jazz is one of those cars that still shows us that you don’t always need a big SUV to enjoy space. Honda’s small model is an example of packaging, offering generous space for a car in the small class.
Built on the same platform as the HR-V, the Honda Jazz uses a 1.5-liter hybrid engine that produces 122 hp and 253 Nm of peak torque. The claimed average consumption for this engine is 4.7 litres/100 km, but we managed to achieve a value of 4.6 litres/100 km during our test.
This is also due to the aerodynamic efficiency of the car. In Sport Advance trim, the Jazz gets a more aggressive bumper, side skirts finished in gloss black and 16-inch diameter wheels. The minivan shape gives the car generous interior space, with a trunk measuring 304 liters.
The magic seats – The ace up the sleeve of the Honda Jazz
Inside, we can see that despite the compact exterior dimensions, the Jazz maximizes cabin space. The minivan shape allows it to have a generous glazed surface, which contributes to the feeling of space. And in the back, the car has the famous Magic Seats, which can be configured in different ways. The seats can also be raised, to create additional storage space inside the car. Of course, they can also be folded in the traditional way to expand the loading area in the trunk.
If we turn our attention to the front seats, notice that Honda has created storage spaces wherever they can, which is a plus for any family car.
The dashboard also includes two screens – one for the dashboard and another for the multimedia system – but it also features some practical tricks. For example, we find a cup holder on each side of the dashboard, right next to the air vents, plus the double glove box.
In Romania, the Honda Jazz has a starting price of 26,940 euros, while the Sport Advance equipment has a list price of 29,440 euros.
