Honor 300 shape revealed prematurely. Don’t expect a plethora of changes

Honor is already slowly preparing for the premiere of the new generation of its popular number series, which over time has moved from the middle class to the position of lightweight flagships. The Honor 300 series follows on from the current 200 series, and once again we will see perfectly equipped phones with an elegant design. The latest leak shows this much-anticipated novelty in all its glory.

Live photos of the Honor 300 have appeared on the social network Weibo and it’s probably a leak of images while shooting promo materials. Honor 300 appears on them in the hands of Chinese actress Yu Shuxin, who will probably promote it, and it is precisely the connection with a well-known Chinese popular personality that is typical for this series of phones.

It’s not clear whether the aforementioned actress is holding the base Honor 300 or the top-of-the-line Pro version, but the images clearly show a change in the photo module area. While the current Honor 200 series has a camera housed in an oval module, the new series will get an interestingly shaped, asymmetrical photo module in the shape of an irregular hexagon with rounded edges.

Proper equipment and durability

The use of a flat frame is visible behind the image, which is currently very modern, and the construction should, for the first time in the series, offer protection according to the IP68 standard. Up until now, the highlight in this direction has been the IP65 protection offered by the current Honor 200 Pro, and the question is whether both models will receive this resistance, i.e. the basic one, or again only the Pro variant.

This series will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the previous flagship processor from Qualcomm, and the camera should be double, probably with a main chip and a telephoto lens, both with a resolution of 50 Mpx. The battery with a capacity of 5,300 mAh will be fast charged by the company with an estimated power of 100 W, which is the same as the current generation.

Availability

It is not yet known when the Honor 300 series will debut, but it is very likely that it is already around the corner. Last year’s Honor 100 series was introduced in November, the following Honor 200s arrived in May this year, and it can be assumed that the Chinese manufacturer will follow the same six-monthly interval for the upcoming series.
