Honor launches two budget smartphones with MediaTek chipsets

OR Honor brings two new phones to its X series, the X5b and X5b Pluswhich are affordable and already available in many countries.

Both the phones are almost identical in terms of design and specifications, but the X5b Plus comes out on top thanks to a few upgrades. First of all, both the X5b and X5b Plus are powered by the same processor MediaTek Helio G36a low performance chipset designed specifically for budget phones.

Additionally, the X5b and X5b Plus feature the same 6.56-inch LCD display with HD resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The waterdrop notch houses a 5-megapixel selfie snapper on both the cases.

What makes the Honor X5b Plus the better phone between the two is its 50-megapixel primary camera on the back. In comparison, the regular model has a much smaller 13-megapixel main sensor. Both phones have a second macro camera of just 0.8 megapixels.

Moving on to the battery, there doesn’t seem to be any difference in terms of size. Both the Honor smartphones are powered by 5,200 mAh batteries, but no further details are available.
