The HONOR Magic7 Lite is – for our taste – the most interesting model in terms of features/price of the new series of smart phones that the Chinese company has just marketed in the international market (Spain included) and that also includes the spectacular, but not cheap, Magic7 Pro.
HONOR remains committed to carving out a relevant niche in the competitive smartphone segment. And the truth is that it cannot be denied that he is working hard and well, producing models (always interesting) to cover all needs and budgets. If a few months ago we saw the impressive Magic V3, as the thinnest foldable on the market, now we have the new regular series, version 7.
HONOR Magic7 Lite, thin, competent and at a good price
You already know that the last name ‘Lite’ means that it is a reduced version in features and price of its top of the range. And it is exactly that, but as you will see below, it has more than enough features for the majority of users who do not want/can pay what the Pro version costs (triple that of the Lite).
The terminal is quite thin and light (7.98 mm and 189 g) and is certified for IP64 water resistance in a frame protected by three layers. It is based on a multi-touch screen AMOLED with 6.78 inches diagonal, 120 Hz refresh rate and a native resolution that rises to 2700 x 1224 pixels. Its engine is an SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 with eight CPU cores and an Adreno A710 GPU, accompanied by 8 Gbytes of RAM and internal storage of 256 or 512 GB.
They are camera The rear consists of a double sensor, a main one with 108MP (F1.75) and optical image stabilizer, and another wide-angle one with 5MP and F2.2. The front selfie camera has a 16-megapixel sensor with F2.45. In the connectivity section we see that it has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1, it supports the usual sensors in mobile devices including GPS positioning, fingerprints or proximity and ambient light.
The battery, another of the main components of every mobile phone, stands out especially for its great capacity. 6.600 mAh. It incorporates fast charging (66-watt SuperCharge) via a USB Type-C port for power and data.
The HONOR Magic7 Lite pre-installs the MagicOS 8.0 user interface built on Android 14 and It is available on the website from the manufacturer in two color finishes, Titanium Purple and Titanium Black, and in two configurations according to memory and storage:
- 8 GB + 256 GB: 369 euros.
- 8 GB + 512 GB: 399 euros.
A reasonable price for what this mid-range terminal offers. If you want more (but not better in features/price), HONOR has also brought to Spain the ‘Pro’ versionwhich requires breaking the bank because it costs more than three times as much as the Lite model: 1,299 euros.
