The Chinese manufacturer Honor has a new tablet in its portfolio: The Magicpad 2 is designed to score points compared to its predecessor, particularly with an improved display and some technical improvements under the hood. The technical data that will make this possible and the price and release of the Magicpad 2 are shown in the following overview.

Honor Magicpad 2: Technical data

The Magicpad 2 is a slightly larger tablet with a screen diagonal of 12.3 inches. The tablet uses an OLED panel with a resolution of 3,000 x 1,920 pixels as its display, and the refresh rate can be set in four levels between 60 and 144 Hertz. However, a maximum brightness is not specified.

Inside the Magicpad 2 is the Oualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, one of the best processors currently available for tablets. When it comes to memory, Honor lets customers choose between 8 and 16 GB of RAM, with internal capacity options of 256 or 512 GB and a 1 TB version.

In terms of cameras, Honor uses standard lenses with a resolution of 13 megapixels on the back and nine megapixels on the front. The Magicpad 2 is particularly impressive when it comes to audio playback; the tablet uses eight speakers for this. The battery capacity is specified as 10,050 mAh, and the maximum charging power is said to be up to 66 watts. The connection options are Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6, but mobile communications are not supported.

Magicpad 2: Price and release

The Magicpad 2 is now available on the Chinese market for a price equivalent to around 367 euros (for the smallest storage variant). However, it is doubtful whether the tablet will also find its way to Germany, as no model from the Magicpad series is officially available yet.
