Honor has introduced the Honor X9c for Malaysia, which is supposed to shine with its robustness. Although Honor does not have rubberized corners or similar features, the Honor X9c can still withstand falls from a height of up to 2 meters and is also IP65 certified. This means that the device is completely dustproof and protected against jets of water. However, it is not waterproof.

Despite its advertised robustness, it is light and thin. The X9c is only 7.98 millimeters thick and weighs just 198 grams. Technically, the device is mediocre. For example, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 with four Cortex A78 and Cortex A55 computing cores is used. The chip is supported by between 8 and 12 GB of RAM and between 256 GB and 512 GB of storage space. The device supports 5G and has two SIM card slots.

The camera used is a system with a 108 megapixel main camera, a wide-angle camera and a front camera (16 MP). The photos are displayed on a 6.78-inch display with a resolution of 2,700 x 1,224 pixels and a brightness of 4,000 cd/m2. In Malaysia it will Honor X9c offered for the equivalent of around 310 euros. Nothing is known about a German release yet.
