Horrifying moment when visually impaired pregnant woman falls into open manhole caught on camera

In Samsun, visually impaired pregnant Gülderen Durna Dalgıç (36) fell into a manhole whose cover was left open. Meanwhile, Emrah Dalıç (39), who wanted to save his wife, hit his head on the manhole cover. While the people around saved the injured couple, the incident was recorded on a security camera.

The incident occurred yesterday in the Güzelyalı Neighborhood of the Atakum district. Visually impaired pregnant Gülderen Durna Dalgıç allegedly fell into a manhole whose cover was left open for work. In the meantime, Emrah Dalgıç, who wanted to save his wife, hit his head on the manhole cover. People in the area rushed to the disabled couple’s aid and pulled Gülderen Durna Dalgıç out of the manhole. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The injured couple were taken to the Ondokuz Mayıs University Medical Faculty Hospital, and the incident was recorded by a workplace security camera.

While Emrah Dalgıç was discharged after treatment yesterday evening, it was stated that English teacher Gülderen Durna Dalgıç’s checks in the maternity ward are continuing. It was learned that the couple complained about the company that left the manhole cover open. On the other hand, it was seen that the manhole cover was put back in place after the incident.
