There is still time until the end of the year when taxpayers can inform the Financial Administration (Furs) to which organization or community they wish to allocate up to one percent of the income tax that Furs will assess for 2024.
The list of organizations entitled to these grants was published by the government in September. It includes non-governmental organizations, political parties, trade unions, associations, registered churches and other religious communities, as well as school and kindergarten funds.

The largest number of taxpayers (84,639) allocated their portion of the income tax for 2023 to the Society for Cardiovascular Diseases AED. This association received slightly more than 1.75 million euros from this title. In second place is the Red Nose Society with 18,401 donations in the total amount of 487,310 euros. Slovenska karitas is in third place with 15,120 donations in the total amount of 285,755 euros.
