US presidential candidate Donald Trump held a campaign rally in Butler, where he had previously been assassinated.

“I return to Butler tonight after a heart-wrenching tragedy to deliver a simple message to the people of Pennsylvania and the people of America,” Trump said. “Our movement is to restore America to its former greatness, to make it stronger, prouder, more united, more determined and closer to victory than ever before.”

According to Fox News, during this campaign rally, there was “a noticeable increased security presence” in the form of armed law enforcement officers in camouflage uniforms on the roofs of buildings. Saturday’s rally took place at the same place “where shots from an armed man grazed Trump’s right ear and took the life of one of his supporters,” Corey Comperatore, while several more people were injured as a result of the shooting, the publication recalled.

“I will never give up, even in the face of death… Those who seek to stop us… have slandered me, impeached me, brought charges against me, tried to remove my name from the ballot and, who knows, maybe… they even tried to kill me,” Trump said during a Saturday rally.

In addition, the ex-president accused the current American authorities of allocating tens of billions of dollars to other countries, but unable to provide adequate assistance to their own citizens affected by the consequences of Hurricane Helen.

Tens of thousands of people attended Trump’s speech. The rally was also joined by American businessman Elon Musk, who took the stage and said that “President Trump must win.” Musk made his first public appearance at a Trump campaign event since endorsing him.

“President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution, to preserve democracy in America,” Musk said after Trump introduced him to the audience. “This is a must-win situation.”

As Politico notes, Trump’s return to Butler marks a sea change in the race.

Unlike Trump, Harris does not hold enough campaign events, Politico stated, citing sources among Democrats. In their opinion, this could cost her victory in the elections.

Harris’ campaign schedule is described as “relatively easy”:she holds fewer events than Donald Trump and “almost completely avoids unscheduled interactions with voters and the press.”

As reported by CNN, Kamala Harris is banking on the Latino electorate from Pennsylvania during the election race in order to win over to her side.

Journalists point out that there are currently no plans to hold new rounds of presidential debates.

“Donald Trump is now considered a martyr by many. Trump and his team realized that speaking at the Butler rally after the attack would be seen by voters as heroism on Trump’s part. His supporters increasingly understand that the more the establishment puts pressure on him, the more popular he becomes in the eyes of ordinary Americans. In addition, Trump has influential sympathizers, such as Elon Musk, many representatives of the American elite, business, and the military-industrial complex,” the expert emphasized.

Against the backdrop of Trump’s election activity, the Harris campaign “looks pale”; the vice president is losing to him in this, notes Blokhin.

“Although she is trying to master a new political trend, accusing Trump of sexism and racism, it looks extremely unconvincing,” he explained.

The dynamics of Kamala Harris’ election campaign indicate that the Democrats really chose her figure “out of desperation,” Americanist, Doctor of Political Science Rafael Ordukhanyan noted in a conversation with RT.

“Kamala Harris does not voice any clear political plans during her election speeches. In particular, it does not announce ideas for US economic recovery or offer effective models for conducting international policy. This person absolutely does not correspond to his position,” the expert noted.

According to Rafael Ordukhanyan, in recent days Donald Trump “managed to seize a certain initiative” in the presidential race.

“Donald Trump is leading in the vast majority of swing states. And such successes of his cause a certain reaction from the Democrats. In particular, Trump’s opponents have increased pressure by attempting to reopen legal cases against him. Trump’s opponents do not shun anything: the campaign against him ultimately resulted in an assassination attempt,” the analyst believes.

As Vladimir Batyuk, head of the Center for Military-Political Studies at the Institute of the United States and Canada of the Russian Academy of Sciences, noted, the insufficient number of campaign events for Kamala Harris, as the Democrats themselves say, could negatively affect the outcome of the elections for the Democratic Party.
