Răzvan Lucescu learned the verdict for the events of the match with AEK Athens, after which he received a shock suspension in Greece.
The PAOK – AEK Athens match took place over the weekend, at the end of which Răzvan Lucescu was harshly criticized for the way he behaved during the game, but also after the final whistle. The Romanian technician was sent to the Disciplinary Commission, where he received a harsh verdict: suspension for 23 days and a fine.

The bill came for the unsportsmanlike behavior of the coach of the Greek champions. Răzvan Lucescu’s behavior was not overlooked, so it will have repercussions that can affect the team. Răzvan Lucescu will be absent from the team bench 23 days, during which he will miss the match with Olympiacos that could be decisive in the title fight. The other matches he will miss are against OFI, Aegaleo and Lamia. In the European cups, the suspension does not apply, so he will lead his team from the technical bench, on Thursday evening, against those from Viktoria Plzen.

Răzvan Lucescu protested vehemently on the edge of the field during the match with AEK, so the referee penalized him with a yellow card in the first half. After the match he entered the field and went straight to the referees whom he reproached for making wrong decisions against his team. In my soul, I will never forget. I don’t want to make any further comments. It is always difficult to play in AEK’s field, a strong team. We came to play our game and not let AEK be dangerous.
