Elon Musk contributed $44 million in October to America PAC, a group supporting Trump’s campaign in swing states, Reuters writes.
The amount follows an earlier contribution of $75 million, which Elon Musk allocated to the group between July and September.
America PAC, funded by the Tesla CEO, aims to mobilize voters in key states to influence the outcome of the November 5 presidential election, a tight race between Donald Trump and current Vice President Kamala Harris.
How much did Trump’s campaign spend on ads?
According to reports, America PAC has already spent more than $47 million on advertising campaigns in the first half of October.
In parallel, Trump’s campaign has announced more than $88 million in advertising spending, with $36 million left for the final campaign period, while Harris has invested more than $130 million in ads, with 119 millions in funds.
In support of the mobilization, America PAC has launched a contest offering $1 million daily to a swing state voter who signs an online petition.
The Justice Department recently issued a warning that the awards may violate election law, but the group has not publicly commented on the allegations.
