How robotics and AI are transforming the ice cream industry

Ice cream & AI – cooperation you never knew you needed! A new startup, Dice Cream, combines powerful autonomous robotics with fantastic ice cream, aiming to reshape a major industry poised to revolutionize operations.

Big idea? Autonomous ice cream parlors that function like vending machines, without the need for staff.

How does it work?
The latest robotics runs an independent ice cream shop. The team developed an innovative bowling mechanism that makes cubed ice cream scoops.

Customers order via touch screens on the side, and a robotic arm serves exactly what you ordered. And it’s not just ordinary ice cream – you can choose from different flavors, toppings and even cones!

But how does the customer actually get his delicious ice cream? Minions!

That’s what they call the cubes that transport the ice cream to the customer, which work on a circular rail system, creating a fluid experience from start to finish.

The robot can process three orders at a time, making it much faster than a human ice cream vendor. The “ball” is heated, allowing it to easily cut through the ice cream, and then thoroughly cleaned after the order is delivered, preventing any contamination.

The team has a provisional patent for the machine’s unique design, which you can see below.

AI also plays a role, helping to create a more pleasant and unique experience for customers when ordering. Children will love it!

Dice Cream hopes to have the unit ready for deployment by the end of 2024.

Managed by a professional team
Dice Cream’s executive team has 30 years of combined experience in the food industry, robotics and automation (Miso Robotics, Graze, Bobacino), and backgrounds at companies such as Raytheon, Booz Allen Hamilton and Lockheed Martin.

This makes it the perfect combination of skills to realize this ambitious vision.

Why ice cream is big business
It’s a fact that Americans love ice cream! On average, each person in America eats 20 pounds of ice cream a year! But it’s not just Americans – the global ice cream industry is already worth $82 billion and is expected to reach $115 billion by 2030.

That’s a big market, and Dice Cream hopes to break into it. With a small footprint and almost no operating costs, Dice Cream can be set up in popular locations such as universities, malls and arenas at low costs, with high sales potential and without the expensive lease costs of a traditional ice cream shop.

Dice Cream’s advanced robotics means it can serve 90 customers an hour – that’s one every 40 seconds. Even the most experienced ice cream seller would have a hard time keeping up!

Looking ahead, Dice Cream has already secured temporary contracts to set up 90 machines across Japan and Korea, demonstrating the demand for the concept.

We can’t wait for Dice Cream to go!

You can invest in the future of ice cream
You can support the mission Dice Cream-a to deliver the ice cream parlors of the future by investing in the project.

The funding round closes on July 15th, which means you don’t have much time – the stock is in high demand, and the company has already raised over $225,000 at a valuation of $10 million.
