How to activate Gemini Live in the Czech Republic? Talk to Google’s AI!

• It basically doesn’t work in the Czech Republic, but you can get it working very easily

Since the very beginnings of the Gemini mobile application, we as Czechs have been dealing with regional restrictions. The application arrived in European countries later than in the rest of the world, and even the Gemini Live gadget (or Go Live with Gemini) does not work by default in our region. At the same time, it is not at all difficult to put it into operation in the Czech Republic.

How to activate Gemini Live in the Czech Republic?

If the language barrier does not bother you (see chapter What are the limitations?) and you are limited only by the fact that you simply cannot see the Gemini Live function in the application, we have an easy solution for you. In settings only just change the application language to English (or other supported language).

The step-by-step procedure looks like this:

1. Click on your profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen
2. Select “Settings”
3. Go to the “Languages” section
4. Click on “English”
5. The application will shut down, after restarting it, the Gemini Live icon should be located in the lower right corner of the screen

What can Gemini Live do and why would you want it?

Gemini Live is a modern feature that allows us to chat with artificial intelligence in real time. The conversation is very similar to that of a regular person – not only does the AI-powered voice sound similar, but it also works with intonation and reacts to mid-sentence interruptions. You can set how your virtual company will sound. You can choose from 10 different voices.

And why even want to talk to artificial intelligence? Everyone can probably find an ideal reason on their own, but we can point out suitable examples, for example help with studies, projects or organization of time, mental exercise or discussion of more complex social topics. In short, AI has the potential to elevate not only your productivity, but also your personal skills to a higher level.

What are the limitations?

Unfortunately, there are two problems with Gemini Live in our location. If we ignore the first one, which can be easily removed – i.e. that the service is not available in the Czech Republic in its basic settings – we come across the issue of a possible language barrier.

Gemini Live does not work in Czechand so you can only use its abilities if you speak English, German, Spanish or another of supported languages.
