Today, there are 386 thousand subscribers in the four regions where Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Novosibirsk operates. Since the beginning of this year alone, the increase has amounted to more than ten thousand, which indicates that gasification of Siberian regions is proceeding very actively. The leaders are Novosibirsk Oblast, where more than four thousand new subscribers have already signed gas supply contracts in 2024. Almost the same number – 3.5 thousand – have been concluded with residents of Altai Krai. In Tomsk Oblast, 2.4 thousand households have connected to gas since the beginning of the year.
However, with the growth of the number of connections, the amount of overdue accounts receivable inevitably grows. Today, legislation has made gasification of households more accessible – gas networks are built free of charge for owners even to small houses in SNT, and consumers do not always understand that gas is inexpensive, but not at all a free pleasure.
According to data from early September, the list of debtors includes more than 65 thousand subscribers, which is 17% of all the company’s subscribers. The total amount of overdue accounts receivable is 203.5 million rubles, which is 13% more than last year. In the Novosibirsk Region, the increase in overdue debt of the population exceeds 21%.
– Naturally, we work with debtors. Starting with messages about the need to submit meter readings, pay off debts and ending with warnings about disconnection. And if the debtor does not respond to all our warnings, then we prepare a letter to the gas distribution organizations about disconnecting the household from gas supply, – says the head of the department for work with the population of OOO Gazprom mezhregiongaz Novosibirsk Elena Komarova.
Based on the results, a report is drawn up against the debtor, and henceforth it is not enough for him to simply pay off the debt – he will have to pay for the services of disconnection/connection to the networks. And this service is not cheap – at least 10 thousand rubles. Therefore, the company emphasizes that it is much better to solve the problem with debts before disconnection than to overpay for reconnection later.

Today, almost 1.2 thousand subscribers have the status of “disconnected”. In addition to debt, there is a second reason why a consumer may be left without gas – the absence of a contract for the maintenance of gas equipment – in-apartment or in-house. Let us recall that from September 1, 2023, a law came into force that gives the right to service gas equipment in residential premises only to gas distribution organizations that transport gas to these premises. Other specialized organizations have lost the right to carry out such work. These measures have been taken to improve safety when using gas equipment and networks.
Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Novosibirsk and gas distribution organizations conducted an active campaign to inform subscribers about changes in legislation. However, there are still 18.5 thousand who have not signed the contracts, including 16 thousand subscribers in the Novosibirsk Region. And all of them are at risk of being disconnected from the gas supply. Safety is more important. Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Novosibirsk explains the reason for the problem in the abundance of gas distribution organizations, there are 17 of them in the region. People often simply do not understand which of them to sign a contract with. To clarify the information, residents of apartment buildings should contact the management company, HOA, or the gas supplier, residents of individual households – the local government.
– Using gas equipment without annual maintenance creates a threat to the safety of the consumer and his environment. In the absence of a maintenance contract, the gas supplier has the right to suspend gas supply, even if subscribers pay for the gas consumed on time. Resumption of gas supply is possible only after concluding a maintenance contract and paying the costs of disconnection and connection,” Elena Komarova emphasized.
