Hiding your calling number is really easy. You have a few easy methods at your disposal. Once you enable this feature, the person receiving the call will see “Private Number” on their screen instead of your number.

During a phone call, your number is usually displayed on the recipient’s phone screen. This allows someone to easily recognize the caller or assign them to someone already saved in their contacts. However, not everyone realizes that you can also call someone without revealing your phone number. Are you wondering how to call from a private number?

Withholding a phone number is possible, legal and free. Everyone has the option to hide their number regardless of whether it is a landline or mobile phone. In today’s guide, we will focus on mobile phones. You can set a private number for both a single call and all future calls.

The easiest way is to use the options available directly in your smartphone settings. You can decide to return to the previous settings at any time.

This process requires a few simple steps:

1. Open the “Phone” application.
2. Go to “Settings”, which are usually located under the three dots icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
3. Choose “Telephone accounts”sometimes you first need to select the specific SIM card that the change applies to.
4. In advanced options look for the “Hide number” feature.
5. To undo the change, simply find the option again and select “Show Number.” In the same settings area, you will also find other options, such as filtering calls considered spam or displaying the names of callers even if they are not saved in your contacts (if the system recognizes the number by finding it in the search engine).
