A woman from Suceava offered a bribe of 200 lei to the policemen who stopped her for a traffic control. The moment was recorded with a video camera mounted on the equipment of one of the law enforcement officers. This is how the two police officers from Botoșani reacted when the driver offered them the money.
A 43-year-old woman from Suceava tried to bribe two policemen who stopped her on a road in Botoșani county.
It had been recorded by the radar device at a speed above the legal limit.
How two policemen reacted when they received a bribe of 200 lei from a woman
Two policemen, who were monitoring the traffic in the area of Coțușca, Botoșani county, recorded a car that exceeded the speed limit.
After they stopped the car, they found that a 43-year-old woman was behind the wheel, who was not even wearing a seat belt.
As she exceeded the legal speed limit by approximately 38 km/h, the police officers informed the driver that she would receive a traffic ticket.
When she found out, the driver wanted to escape the penalty and offered the police a bribe of 200 lei.
The money was put among the documents of the car, when he handed it to the two agents.
The two policemen categorically refused the driver’s proposal. But, moreover, they reported the attempted bribery to the call center number 0800.806.806.
„The police officers from the Botoșani County Anticorruption Service detected the flagrant crime, the investigations being continued, under the coordination of the case prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Botoșani Court, under the aspect of committing the crime of bribery“, it is stated in a statement published by the General Anticorruption Directorate (DGA).
For attempted bribery, the woman risks between 2 and 7 years in prison.
Everything was recorded with the body-cam equipment, located on the equipment of one of the agents, and the images were published by the DGA.
