Huawei can come up with a Windows killer operating system –

In addition, the system software called HarmonyOS Next can be launched this year.

Soon, a new operating system may break the laurels of Windows and Linux: if the rumors are true, one of the largest Chinese manufacturers, Huawei, is already tinkering with its own desktop system, HarmonyOS, which certainly sounds familiar to those who follow tech news. The operating system in question was previously only available on the company’s smart devices, but its version customized for PCs, with the “Next” flag, will soon be available.

Based on images extracted from Huawei’s developer website, we can conclude that the HarmonyOS Next operating system may arrive this year, which could be a direct challenger to Windows and Linux systems.

If everything is true, the company’s operating system, which is currently under development, will be completely Android-free, and what’s more, it will be based on its own microkernel. It follows directly from this that the system will not be able to run Android applications – presumably it will only support its own native format programs.

It’s worth keeping in mind that this is all just speculation, as the company has yet to officially confirm anything about the system in question. Another important detail is that the smart devices supported by HarmonyOS have not yet been released outside of China, so we can expect that HarmonyOS Next will initially remain within the domestic market.
