Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4 Officially Introduced

HUAWEI recently hosted a launch event showcasing the Mate 70 series and Mate X6 smartphones, the MatePad Pro 13.2 tablet, and the Watch Ultimate Design smartwatch. The brand also introduced FreeBuds Pro 4, the first headset to use the HarmonyOS NEXT operating system.

Released under the HUAWEI SOUND brand, FreeBuds Pro 4 is powered by the Kirin A2 processor and offers 2.3 Mbps high-speed transmission and lossless sound up to 48 kHz/24 bit.

These headphones offer dual super-sensing drivers that combine an 11mm quad-magnet dynamic driver with a micro-planar tweeter for enhanced sound quality. The headphones support digital frequency division technology, dynamic EQ, active noise cancellation (ANC) and transparent modes for versatile listening options.

Enhanced AI-powered noise cancellation improves call clarity, complemented by four microphones and a reverse bone conduction pickup microphone that eliminates background noise and captures audio effectively. The headphones support 100dB call noise cancellation and block wind noise at speeds up to 10m/s. For audiophiles, FreeBuds Pro 4 supports codecs such as SBC, AAC, L2HC 4.0 (HarmonyOS 4.0 or later) and LDAC.

Powered by HarmonyOS NEXT, the headphones offer features like face-to-face translation, ultra-immersive spatial audio, and NearLink. The device also has an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, ensuring durability in a variety of environments.

The earbuds weigh 5.8g each, while the charging case weighs 47g. The 55mAh battery in each earbud provides up to 6.5 hours of music playback without ANC or 4.5 hours with ANC. The 510mAh capacity headphone box increases the total battery life to 33 hours without ANC or 23 hours with ANC.
