In the second quarter, Apple shipped 3 million fewer tablets (20.1 million compared to 23.4 a year earlier). Huawei increased its volume from 12.3 million to 20.5 million.
The competition between the leaders is becoming increasingly fierce, and the followers are falling well behind: Xiaomi took third place with shipments of 9.25 million tablets, and Honor, although it showed an impressive 63% year-on-year growth, took fourth place with 6.5 million devices.
Nevertheless, such excitement contributes to the overall growth of tablet sales in China. According to a Canalys report, tablet shipments in the Chinese market increased by 20% compared to the previous quarter. Analysts predict further growth – by 9%.
