Huawei CBG CEO Richard Yu confirmed that the Mate 70 series models will be introduced on November 26. Yu announced this date during an interview at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show. The executive did not give further details, but stated that a new luxury car brand called Maextro will also be launched.
We expect to see at least four models in the series: Huawei Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, Mate 70 Pro+ and Mate 70 RS Ultimate. It may also introduce a new HiSilicon chip called Kirin 9100 along with the phones.
Reports claim that this chip is built on a 6nm manufacturing process by SMIC and could be on par with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 or MediaTek Dimensity 9000.
