Huawei has unveiled its latest foldable flagship Mate X6which brings a thin body with a thickness of only 4.3 mm in the open state and many innovations. This model has been significantly improved over its predecessor, offering improved displays, new cameras and an all-new operating system HarmonyOS Next.
Huawei Mate X6: Parameters that impress
The main folding display is 7.93-inch LTPO panel with resolution 2440 x 2240 pixels and variable refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. Its maximum brightness reaches up to 1800 rivetswhich is ideal for use in direct sunlight. The standard display has a diagonal 6.45 fingersFull HD+ resolution and even higher brightness – 2,500 rivets.
The Huawei Mate X6 is equipped with four rear cameras:
- 50 MP main sensor with variable aperture (f/1.4-f/4.0), taken from the Pura 70 Pro+ model.
- 48 MP telephoto lens with up to 4x optical zoom.
- 40 MP ultra-wide lens with automatic focus.
- A hyperspectral sensor that improves color accuracy and output from other cameras.
The phone is powered by a capacity battery 5 110 mAh (resp. 5 200 mAh for the 16 GB RAM version), which supports 66 W wired, 50W wireless a 7.5 W reverse charging. New strap it is smoother, more durable and grade certified IPX8 for protection against water.
New generation software
The smartphone comes with HarmonyOS Nextwhich is built on its own kernel. This system brings multitasking features, such as split screen for watching a lecture and taking notes at the same time. However, some versions will ship with the older HarmonyOS 4.3. Huawei has also improved the opening system, which is now even less visible within the display.
Huawei Mate X6: Design and price
Huawei offers its new foldable smartphone in five colors, with different surfaces from glass to leather. Prices start at 12 999 CNY (approx. €1,700) for the basic version 12/256 GBwhile the highest configuration 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage it costs 15 999 CNY (cca 2 100 €).

Availability outside of China has yet to be confirmed, but the Mate X6 remains a very interesting contender in the foldable smartphone market. Honor Magic V3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 will be among its biggest competitors in case of eventual expansion to our market.
